Consent to Collection and Use of Personal Information (Required)

ICONX Inc. ("the Company") collects and uses personal information in order to provide the re.scoop service ("the Service") to the data subjects who sign up for and use it (referred to as "users"), in accordance with Article 15 of the Korea Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and as set forth below. In the event of any inconsistency between the Korean and English versions of this consent, the Korean version shall prevail.

1. Information Collected and Used

CategoryItems
At sign-upAccount identifier, email address, nickname, display name, authentication tokens
During use — workspaceWorkspace name, workspace URL handle, display name within the workspace
During use — messagesBody and metadata of messages (email, DM, comments, etc.) collected from channels connected by the user

The Company does not collect user passwords. Users authenticate directly with an external identity provider (e.g., Google or Apple), and only the authentication tokens issued by that provider are received and stored. Where a user chooses to hide their email address when signing in with Apple, the private relay address issued by Apple is received and stored.

Information that is automatically collected while you use the Service — such as access IP, usage logs, cookies, browser and operating system information, and app version — is not subject to this consent. Such information is described separately in the Privacy Policy.

Personal information of third parties (such as people who send messages or comments to the user) that comes in through connected channels is not the user's own personal information. The Company processes it on the user's behalf, under the user's entrustment, to provide the Service to the user; in this case the user is the controller of that third-party information and the Company acts as its processor. This consent concerns the collection and use of the user's own personal information.

2. Purposes of Collection and Use

  • Account registration, authentication, and identification
  • Workspace operation and identification of workspace members
  • Collecting users' message and comment data, and creating, posting, and managing messages and comments at the user's request
  • Automated classification and summarization of messages through AI analysis
  • Service operation, security, and prevention of abuse

Automated classification and summarization of messages is carried out through the AI analysis capabilities of a cloud provider to which the Company has entrusted the processing of personal information. That processor handles the information only under the Company's instructions and within the scope of the entrusted purpose, and under its contract does not use the submitted data to train its own AI models. This processing takes place within the Republic of Korea and is not transferred overseas. The specific processors and the scope of the entrusted work are set out in the Privacy Policy.

The scope of AI analysis is limited to classifying and summarizing messages. The Company does not use it to infer individual user characteristics such as interests or demographics, and does not use it for advertising purposes. The Company does not sell or otherwise monetize user content for any purpose, and does not use user content to train external AI models.

3. Retention and Use Period

ItemRetention period
Basic account information (email, display name, account identifier)Until account deletion
Workspace informationUntil account deletion or deletion of the workspace
Authentication tokensUntil the integration is disconnected
User messagesUntil the earliest of: explicit deletion by the user, disconnection of the channel integration, or account deletion

Where the terms of an external platform with which the Company must comply set a shorter retention or deletion standard than the periods above, the Company follows that standard.

Where retention is required by applicable law, the relevant information may be retained separately for the period prescribed by such law.

4. Right to Refuse Consent and Consequences

You have the right to refuse this consent. However, because the information covered by this consent is necessary to provide the Service, refusing will restrict your ability to create an account and use the Service.
